When we first met Luisa and Matthias at the Cascina, we suddenly thought about visiting them: unfortunately we haven’t managed yet, but we hope you can! There are several reasons to choose Il Rigo…
First of all the historical background of the nine-generation family home: from the sharecropping time, to the birth of the farm in the 70s and finally the conversion into the Agriturismo. The name itself represents a strong bond with the territory: as a matter of fact Il Rigo is the creek at the bottom of the hill.
At Il Rigo, you could also taste delicious meals prepared following the traditional Tuscan recipes and using products directly from their certified organic farm or from local little producers.
The rooms, from which you can enjoy an incomparable view of the Tuscan hills, are divided between the two farmhouses: Casabianca, the main house and Poggio Bacoca, the annex. The owners have preserved all the romantic features of an old country house, furnishing the place with antiques and special details.
